Summary.

The American wanted to expand and protect their lands, sovereighty, and life styles. So, they are unfriendly and violently with the Native American in the 19th century. During the 1860s-1870s, there were many wars happened between the American and Indian. Acongressional committee set an Indian Peace Commission in order to end the wars. A lot of teaties about Indian that the American did not like them. They signed the Sioux Tready and lived in the Black Hills. But this a sared place. The General George A. Custer Expedition found a gold here. The attractive of gold led a new dispute. Custer led an Army detachment conflicted with the U.S. Army. But he was not successd. The battle has not stopped until the government confliscated the land in 1877. In present day, It is still a controversial issue in the U.S..

Imagine.

if I am ether a soldier traveling with Custer. I know we will not be successful. But I join to the army detachment because I pride who I am and  lived in Black Hills.  I do not scare of the death. I want to try my best to preserve my friend, my family and my land even risk my life. I hope we can leave the battle, the imprisonment and the hatred.  I know I can not change the situation now. But I make efforts to implement the wish, then, I believe It will be come true in the future.

On January 1, 1863. Daniel Freeman and I leaved Gage Country, Nebraska Territory to went to the St. Louis in order to filed the claims. We met some important officials here to talk to them about homestead act. On May 20, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln signed the claims and kept it up after the Union had not the 11 states. Six month later, A new Railroad act was allowed, and it attracted more people come the west. The land had been progressed. Land distribution was an important issue in the Revobutionary War. But Daniel Freeman changed this situation during a long time. As a result, most people thanks him. In fact, Daniel Freeman is a great man, and I really respected him. A lot of people agree with me, and they followed him to moved here. Then they contributed the land. In general, this is the most meaningful thing to me in my whole life.

Baby, I can not write more, because the sky is going to the bright. I am sorry that I did not give you wonderful memories in your childhood. If I can come back, I will make it up to you.
